God’s perspective of the world we live in – how He views us, those around us, our circumstances, and all that takes place on this earth – is vastly different from ours. He sees things that we can’t, with far greater clarity than we do. Often we’ll see something one way, whereas He’ll penetrate through all that’s superficial and recognize what’s really going on. It’s as if He comprehends a different reality than we do – a reality that goes far beyond what our eyes can see, ears can hear, or hands can touch – one that represents what’s actually happening.
This discrepancy between our viewpoint and His is one of the leading causes of the problems that we encounter in this life. If we could only see things as He does, our lives would look extremely different than they do now. The vast majority of the issues we currently deal with would simply resolve themselves. We’d be able to actually comprehend the amazing plans for the awesome life God has for us, and enabled to live them out. Who wouldn’t want that!?!
The good news? God actually WANTS us to see things the way that He does! He’s provided us with HIs Word to paint for us a picture of what He sees. It is to serve as the framework for our own mindset regarding life in general. The more time we spend in His Word, the more our perspective will begin to shift as our mind is renewed (Rom 12:2). Additionally, God has placed His Holy Spirit inside of each of us to lead us into all truth (John 16:3). Through the Holy Spirit inside of us, God can speak to us individually regarding specific individuals and events that we encounter in life, giving us a glimpse of what He sees!
To begin to see things God’s way, we must chose to take God at His word, walking by faith in what He says (2 Cor 5:7). We must commit to basing our belief system off of that, rather than how things may appear to us in the natural. If we’re willing to do this, we’ll begin to catch a glimpse of what our Heavenly Father sees, which will forever change our lives for the better!
